i can't wait for this show, but i'm wondering, is this a part of the HH tour? it seems like its just sponsored by 106.5, and plus there is an opening act (Paper Tongues).

Hurricane Ida, the first Atlantic hurricane to target the United States this year, plodded Sunday toward the Gulf Coast with 100 mph winds, bringing the threat of flooding and storm surges. A hurricane watch extended over more than 200 miles of coastline across southeastern Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and the Florida Panhandle. Louisiana's governor declared a state of emergency. Authorities said Ida could make landfall as early as Tuesday morning, although it was forecast to weaken by then. Officials and residents kept a close eye on the Category 2 hurricane as it approached, though there were no immediate plans for evacuations. Does tuesday ring a bell for anyone? Oh, yeah, the day the new album hits the shelves. I guess us SF fans will be saying HELLO HURRICANE in more ways than one!!! This is an amazing coincidence! * here's to hoping that Ida hits the US on 11/10 *

i just listened to their new cd, Constellations, on myspace. i'm pretty impressed by the sheer complexity of the songs, check out Ocean of Apathy.
i've heard some say that they are prog-metal.....As I Lay Dying meets Rush?

recently, i stuck Oh Gravity in my cd player just because it had been forever since i had heard it. i was instantly blown away by how good it actually is.....
for the longest time, i had grown a distaste for it simply because it was different from the produced-rock sound of NIS, but now i am finally realizing that the styles in O!G are excellent examples of how diverse SF can be. does anyone else have changed opinions on this cd that was released over 2 and a half years ago? good or bad? |
